Drawing on a Bachelor of Education and more than 20 years of experience, I ensure students in Littlehampton are prepared for the dual demands of the Language and Literature curriculum. Preparation for entrance examinations is another key part of my service, particularly for families at River Beach Primary or Lyminster Primary targeting competitive secondary schools like Portsmouth Grammar. We look at the requirements of the 11 plus, focusing on reading comprehension and verbal reasoning tasks. Pupils might practise their creative writing techniques to ensure they can produce a cohesive story or a descriptive piece that impresses the examiners. This work involves a review of homework and past papers to build the skills necessary for a successful application. Securing places at top schools is a rewarding outcome of this preparation, which helps students transition smoothly to the next stage of their schooling.
